PARIS is back. The Eora producer known for her deep and expansive techno is shifting into new sonic territory having joined the Gallery roster. As the artist describes, “I’m moving away from 4x4 style drums, injecting a more infectious bounce to things.”

The first result is “Landslide”. A shimmering cut that walks a tightrope between stuttering and distorted soundscapes, all tied up in a dreamy bow. Singing ever-so delicately over the production is the stunning Olivia McCarthy, as she laments about the powerful pull of love and how quickly we can become totally consumed by it.

“Olivia came at Landslide from all angles with vocal textures and lyrics that were just the elements I needed to complete it.”

There’s real feeling in “Landslide” and it’s clear PARIS is making a deliberate attempt to breed more visceral emotion into her output.

Rolling off the back of rammed sets at Pitch Music & Arts and Beyond The Valley plus supporting TOURIST in July, PARIS is gearing up to play Return To Rio Festival in October alongside heavy-hitters including Late Nite Tuff Guy and Mark Farina.
